A lot goes on during the week at Lakebay. The high point of any given week is our Worship Celebration, which takes place every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. If you enjoy an extra time of singing and praise, come even earlier to The Gathering, which begins at 9:00 a.m. We typically share The Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of every month.
Following our worship time, we continue on into our Second Course, running from 11-11:45 a.m. There are classes for kids and youth, and a chance for adults to discuss and respond to the morning's sermon text.
Our Youth Groups meet on Monday night. Both Middle School and High School gather from 6:00-8:00 for some fun, some food, and some discussion about the Bible, about God, about our lives, and how all those things fit together.
On Wednesday Evenings, we gather for a Bible Study and Prayer time, which includes a potluck dinner.
We have a heart for our community, and especially people who find themselves struggling in our current economic struggle. To that end, Harvest Share has food available (and often clothing) every Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. M&M Ministries offers a warm meal, friendly conversation, and groceries to anybody and everybody who shows up, Thursdays at 3:00 p.m.
Our Men's Ministry hosts two events every month. On the 2nd Saturday we join at Lakebay at 9:00 a.m. for breakfast and a Bible-related discussion, and we usually spend time praying together as well. On the fourth Thursday of every month we join in a more casual format, sharing breakfast at the Key Center Roadhouse beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Not to be outdone, our women's group meets for breakfast the 2nd Thursday of every month at the Key Center Roadhouse, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Other events are held throughout the year.
Of course, there are a lot more things going on as well - retreats, special dinners, parties, dinner gatherings, prayer times, family camp, youth events, and the like. Check out the church newsletter on the "News" page for the most up-to-date news.
