Lakebay Community Church

Lakebay, WA USA

At Lakebay, we take seriously God's call on our lives to reach out in love and compassion to our community. Our people are involved in a number of ministries, some here at the church and some "out there" in the larger community. Some of these include:

- An Alcoholics Anonymous group
- Harvest Share, which hands out food in our church parking lot every Wednesday at 1:00 pm
- M&M Ministry, which offers people food, a warm meal, and a chance for a real conversation every Thursday at 3:00 p.m. (meets in our fellowship hall)
- the 5th Sunday Lunch at the Key Center Community House

In addition,
- Some of our women are involved with domestic violence causes on the Key Peninsula.

- One of our couples works for the Tacoma Youth for Christ, assisting in their Foster Child department
- We have a number of men and women who serve as chaplains in the local detention centers, for both juveniles and adults

We also support the World Mission Department of the Evangelical Covenant Church, including:
- David and Ronna Husby, missionaries to Japan

- Andrew and Carol Larsen, working with the Mosaics Project
