Lakebay Community Church

Lakebay, WA USA

Where Are You Located?
We are on Cornwall Road, east of the Key Peninsula Highway. If you're coming from the north, head south on the highway, across the Home bridge, and take the 2nd left, which is Cornwall. From the south, we are about 3/4 mile north of Evergreen Elementary school. Head north up the highway, turning right on Cornwall. The church is on the left.

When do you meet?
We begin our Sundays with an optional time of worship called "The Gathering" from 10:00-10:25. The worship service begins at 10:30, and usually runs until around noon.

What are your services like?

We tend to be on the informal side, although a few people still like to "dress up for church." We sing a mixture of hymns and modern praise songs, we take time to share our lives, our sorrows, and our joys. We like to pray, and our sermons are biblically-based. We take our calling to worship seriously, but we know we can do that while enjoying ourselves.

What's this I hear about a new building?
We own property alongside the Key Peninsula Highway, just south of the sports complex and middle school. We've been slowly preparing it for the day when we are ready to build our new church building and move our ministries up there. Just a few months ago we had the well dug, and are in the process of testing to make sure it is working fine. If you'd like to see a tentative blueprint of what it will look like, just ask!

What do you believe about the Bible?
We believe that the Bible, the Old and New Testaments, is God's word and the only perfect guide for faith, doctrine, and conduct. The Bible is important to us as a congregation, as it reveals our God to us, and opens our understanding of the deeper realities of the universe. Our preaching is biblically-based, and we strongly encourage our people to study the Bible, both on their own and in groups.

How many people are involved at Lakebay?
We average around 110 in our Sunday worship, although we probably have around 150 "active" attenders. We have around 85 members.
